Was reading through one of my journals and wanted to share a snippet of that entry from September of 2005.
During my prayer time with the Lord this morning, He showed me an image of an open book with the pages slowly turning. I did not fully understand the depths of what He was trying to speak into my heart, but I did have a sense that part of this had to do with Him beginning to write new pages in my life. Later that day, God continued to pursue me with this in a message my dad gave me from his church called, “Life is a Storyline.” For me the paradox of this message was both simple and difficult.
1) Never put a period where God places a comma.
2) Never put a comma where God places a period.
3) And, when God puts a period, He isn’t finished; He is writing a new chapter.
Life is a bit turbulent walking through divorce.
Hardships will come, but how we react to them is entirely up to us. They can overwhelm as questions invade our hearts and minds. They test our perseverance because we cannot see a light at the end of a very dark tunnel.
Are you dealing with some turbulence right now? Does this turbulence involves a relationship, a divorce, an affair, loss of a child, pride, lust, nonforgiveness or even religion; maybe its alcoholism, a drug addiction, depression, an eating disorder, or a chronic illness where a cure seems hopeless.
I hope people can hear this…whatever is at the center of your turbulence, be assured you are not alone. We must come to an understanding that no matter how desperate our circumstances are we can find our answers and our hope in Jesus.
Your circumstances may tell you otherwise, but God does have a plan for your life, if you let Him in.
Are you ready to step into the story that God’s already written for you?
