Warning: Bible Thumping Is Hazardous To People’s Health

Warning: Bible Thumping Is Hazardous To People’s Health

Some people are hurting so bad you have to do more than preach a message to them. You have to BE a message to them!

 -Joyce Meyer

Wikipedia defines a “Bible thumper” as someone perceived as aggressively imposing their Christian beliefs upon others. Envying the lives and ambitions of others and swimming in the seas of sensuality that fueled this selfishness, I somehow believed that they would all have what I needed! It was cold within this dark reality as the wind blew intensely against my face, stumbling through the shadow over and over. It’s not supposed to be this way.

Appointment With A Stranger

Appointment With A Stranger

I discovered in the wilderness that the Samaritan woman at the well symbolizes all of us who have used their best efforts to satisfy the yearning for love and completion. She had five failed marriages (I had two), lived in guilt and shame and intentionally avoided everyone because of the rejection she was carrying.
