How To Become A Navy Seal Without Joining The Military

How To Become A Navy Seal Without Joining The Military

As a dad, I was almost taken out by the enemy. I almost blew it, but my Commander in Chief, God Himself, God gave me another chance.

Men, I don’t know what you are facing as a husband, as a father, but we are being taken out left and right. There is a war on the family unit and significant ground is being lost. This will not be won politically, by the government, by the courts, by the media or by sitting around waiting for the next guy to do something. This war will be one by us manning up and stepping into the role of fatherhood that God has called us into.

Here is a re-work of the Navy Seal Ethos for all you husbands and fathers out there fighting the good fight for your families, may you be encouraged!

In times of trouble or uncertainty there is a special breed of warrior ready to answer our family’s call. A common man with uncommon desire to succeed. Forged by adversity, he stands alongside a brotherhood to serve his God, his family, and protect their way of life. I am that man.

Merry Christmas 2013!

Merry Christmas 2013!

Let’s pause and step back into the very first Christmas Eve.

Mary and Joseph were homeless, a day away from giving birth and far away from their family. It was in this moment that they had to choose to trust the God and to this day we all know the result of their choosing to trust Him.

I’ve learned through my own life journeys that if you want God’s best then you have to walk it out with Him, on His terms, from start to finish. This journey is not an easy one, but the longer you stay on the journey with Him the greater your reward will be.

The true meaning of Christmas is becoming more blurred with each passing year.

Appointment With A Stranger

Appointment With A Stranger

I discovered in the wilderness that the Samaritan woman at the well symbolizes all of us who have used their best efforts to satisfy the yearning for love and completion. She had five failed marriages (I had two), lived in guilt and shame and intentionally avoided everyone because of the rejection she was carrying. Seemingly out of nowhere, Jesus walks onto the scene and asks her for a drink and she debates Him. This sound so familiar, doesn’t it?

I Love You Could Not Have Been Said A Better Way!

I Love You Could Not Have Been Said A Better Way!

I want you to imagine this scene.

God had just finished creating Adam and Eve placing them within the pristine landscape of Eden; a land of paradise beyond our wildest imagination.

They live in a garden paradise where they could thrive and raise a family of their own, but this garden of theirs is more than a physical utopia. It’s a land where they live in perfect harmony with one another and with their Creator. They would commune with Him as their Father and as a friend. And that relationship – more than all the fruit-bearing trees, more than all the crystal waters, more than the beauty and comfort of their surroundings – provides everything their human hearts could ever desire. They have love, because their love came from God. They had joy, because their joy came from God. They had peace because their peace came from God. There was no hunger, greed, fear, or pain because God’s holy presence surrounded and filled that perfect place.
