I asked the question on Google+, “What would you do in your current circumstances if you were absolutely confident God is with you?” and Brian Kelley responded with the following. Brian thanks for sharing and letting me feature your writing on the Heartstone blog!
Wheat and Tares
Jesus told them another parable: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field. But while everyone was sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, and went away. When the wheat sprouted and formed heads, then the weeds also appeared.
“The owner’s servants came to him and said, ‘Sir, didn’t you sow good seed in your field? Where then did the weeds come from?’
What I Want for Christmas
“So let no one judge you in food or in drink, or regarding a festival or a new moon or sabbaths, which are a shadow of things to come, but the substance is of Christ.” -Colossians 2 :16-17 NKJV
I have always believed in the promise of Christmas. There has always been something special to me about this time of the year, going back to my earliest days of childhood.
What is it that we love about Christmas, once we get past the initial trappings?
Stand
Wanted to share from my journal today….
I’m learning that stepping out with a book such as Heartstone sets many forces in motion. As people are reading my journey and finding themselves in the pages, its truly awesome to hear what God is doing through it all. What I am learning is how to stand firm when the enemy comes raging in like a flood with full intention of taking me out.
Life is a Journey
A friend of mine shared this parable with me years ago. I came across it the other day and it encouraged me. I hope it encourages you right were you are at in your current circumstances or where you are along your journey. You may not have thought about it, but life is a journey.
There was a man who had four sons. He wanted his sons to learn not to judge things too quickly. So he sent them each on a quest, in turn, to go and look at a pear tree that was a great distance away.
