Going through a bitter divorce is not a fun adventure at all…it’s actually gut wrenching and heartbreaking.
Let me set the the scene here.
I was in the dark valley of divorce. Lost my home, couldn’t see my kids everyday, lived on a basement floor with a sleeping bag at a friends house, the temporary court order and the legal fees were crushing me. I was not in a good place at all.
There’s a little Lady Gaga in all of us! Why, because we all crave “the applause”, don’t we? We crave to be known by the crowd, by the level of influence in our community, position at work, number of likes on Facebook, number of followers on Twitter, [fill in the blank]. We actually convince ourselves that one of these proofs of “being known” will satisfy us…but they don’t.
Stop, the corporate ladder climbing! Stop, putting all of your time and energy into your stuff! Stop spending your weekends in front of the TV watching sports! Stop [fill in the blank] and engage with your children. Its worth it!
Balancing kids, personal and professional in the jet stream of life is no easy task. I don’t know about you but I definitely needed to get more organized!
How did I accomplish this? with Evernote! It’s still a work in process, but I am so much more organized now.
