Tears

This is one of a handful of poems that you will find in Heartstone. Hope you enjoy.

Tears

Today the illusions of this world around me fade away.
I do not want to be afraid…
When our eyes meet, I know I am safe.
Have I been orphaned, fallen within this blind dismay?
Through the silence of night His glory invades, scatters my gray.
This child runs to You!

Cold and alone, His breath brings to life emptiness inside.
I do not want to be afraid…
When our eyes meet, I know I am safe.
These tears paint the scene of my face, still sore and dried.
These tears scar my sorrow from this lullaby of pain.
“Release your dreams to Me on the winds of change, your past lay aside’
‘Run to Me my child!’”

Hands outstretched, my life redeemed, held by His grace.
Glory scatters the fear, I am not afraid!
When our eyes meet, I know I am safe.
Soaring upon wings of eagles, held by hope I see His face.
Captured within this vision of joy, I run to His embrace.

“My Child, my beloved, I am here with you…Run for me!”

These tears of joy from my Abba, I catch within my hands.
Made new and cleansed by His gentle healing rains,
Through the fire and whatever the cost, I will be with Him forever.
Tears of shame and fear restored to tears of joy, He understands.
I have found the way and now I run for Him!

I do not walk this road of tears alone!
